Dance Theatre Camp, School Grades 1-6

Get moving this summer, with camp featuring ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance that ends in our very own production.  You are the set and costume designers, choreographers, performers and production crew.  These camps are for dancers with little or no previous experience who are looking to try something new.  Kids will want to sign up for both camps because each will be working on different productions.  This year’s camps will be selected from the following:

Cinderella
Jack & the Beanstalk
Peter Pan
Sleeping Beauty
Snow White
Wizard of Oz

Irish Dance Camp, ages 4 to 10

August 9-13
9AM-12PM

Our Irish Dance Camp is designed for both dancers with no prior experience in Irish dance, as well as continuing beginners.  Participants will be introduced to fundamental techniques and soft shoe dances.  A traditional Irish folk tale will be woven into the week, allowing dancers the opportunity to explore Celtic culture and design their own costumes for a dance drama, to be performed at the end of the last class.

Jim and Lauren Mueller are the certified instructors, assisted by champion level senior dancers.

Taught in our building by one of our partners, An Daire Academy of Irish Dance. See www.andaire.org and www.portlandirishdance.blogspot.com for more details and contact An Daire at 971-340-6001 or andaireportland@yahoo.com to register.
