2009-2010 Performances

Under the Summer Sky

Washington Park Rose Garden Amphitheatre

Sunday, August 1, 2010

6:30pm

Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner to enjoy an excellent program set against the beautiful backdrop of the evening City skyline.  Metro Dancers are joined by other performers for a diverse program of family-friendly entertainment.  Remember to bring jackets as the Washington Park Amphitheatre can be chilly in the evenings.

We have done something to simplify your life, give you a great value and make a little money for PMPA. We have made arrangements with Bridges Café to prepare wonderful boxed meals and deliver them to Washington Park on concert day. The food is guaranteed to be wonderful, as it always is. So, after ordering your meals all you have to do is show up with your blanket and enjoy the concert. No hauling of picnic baskets needed.

A few points to clarify,

  1. - Because this is an opportunity that involves pre-ordered food, refunds are not possible.
  2. - If you order a meal and find you are unable to attend, we will pass your meal on to a food charity and consider your purchase a donation to Portland Metro Performing Arts.

Contact our office if you have any questions.

April

Performances are at 9933 SE Pine Street

Les Ruses d'Amour is a lively comic ballet featuring the lush music of Glazunov. Set in the splendor of an Italian villa, the production is full of fun and surprises. Dancers, actors, jugglers and magicians bring this humorous story to life. Everybody will enjoy the antics of Isabella and Damis--betrothed strangers disguising themselves to avoid marriage. The ballet is appropriate for all ages.
