Volunteering

How you can help!

As a non-profit, PMPA relies on the generosity of the Portland community to help us succeed. Here's how you can help:

Cars For the Arts
Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled autos yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teeming garage and we all benefit. You get to declare the value of the vehicle as a tax-deductible donation and we have additional resources to continue providing quality arts opportunities to the community. If you have a vehicle you no longer need, please contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Fund Raisers
If you have any good ideas for fund raisers, we would love to hear from you.

Benefits of Giving
When you support Portland Metro Performing Arts, you are helping the future in many ways. First, you are helping people of all ages experience the arts and help them learn to be self reliant and to express themselves in creative ways. And beyond that, you build the framework and provide the tools for independant thought and an appreciation for creativity.

And it makes you feel good too!

Become a Volunteer
We gladly welcome the valiant efforts of our volunteers! Sign up for a particular fund-raising event, or just offer to help out with the basics: in the office, with classes, with performances, or with the facilities and grounds. Contact us to volunteer today!

Angels
Another way to volunteer is to provide financial assistance. Of course a lump sum of money is always appreciated. But perhaps you do not feel you can do that. You can also give an amount each month through automatic withdrawal. It can be in any amount you feel you can give. A monthly contribution helps in ways a lump sum cannot. It provides a known income through months that can be lean. And remember, Portland Metro Performing Arts is a non-profit organization and is qualified for federal tax exemption under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. So, any contribution is tax deductible.
