Metro Dancers is pleased to present the highly acclaimed comedy ballet classic Coppelia, as staged by the nationally prominent Joanna Kneeland. Coppelia is a whimsical tale about an eccentric inventor, his animated doll, and the delightful chaos they introduce to their unsuspecting village.
Auditions are open to anyone who meets the criteria below, regardless of where they receive their training. We will be casting for supporting acting characters as well as adult, children’s, intermediate and advanced dancing roles
1:00-2:30pm Auditions for Lower Division dancers (level 1 & 2)
Performers must be at least six years old and have a minimum of one year of dance experience.
2:30-4:00pm Auditions for Intermediate & Advanced Dancers (level 3 & 4)
We will be casting for principal dancers and intermediate to advanced corps parts. Women auditioning for principal roles should bring their pointe shoes. Men should have some performance experience. No individually prepared material will be required.
